LIANG YEHONG 

 

1934

Born in Panyu, Guangdong Province, China

He was guided and enlightened by professor Fa Yin Ding, one of the founders of the world famous Lingnan School of painting.  He holds the academic title of Senior Artist and is currently vice-chairman of the Guangzhou Association of Artists

The Artist�s works were exhibited at national expositions of paintings by young artists as early as the �50s.

Among the many awards and prizes won by the artist over the years is the First Prize at the Chinese National Arts Exposition in Beijing in 1989 and the Excellence Award at the Guangzhou Art Exhibition of Works by Famous Artists and Calligraphers in 1994.

Liang has had numerous solo and joint exhibitions in Britain, Japan, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and of course China.

He specializes in the painting of the lotus, and for the past fifteen years has concentrated on this subject.
